Agribusiness: Carlotta Award 2022 for female scientists under 40
The second edition of the 'Carlotta Award 2022' reserved for female researchers under 40 years of age engaged in the genetic improvement of wheat and other cereals is now open. To participate in the award, applications must be submitted by 15 June 2022.
The 'Carlotta Award 2022', promoted by ENEA, Accademia Nazionale delle Scienze detta dei XL and METROFOOD, is dedicated to Carlotta Parisani Strampelli, wife and collaborator of the great Italian geneticist Nazareno Strampelli, for her important contribution to obtaining new varieties of highly productive wheat, already celebrated in 2018 with the first edition of the event, on the 150th anniversary of his birth.
The winners will be selected by a jury of experts who will assess the most original experimental work, in which the candidate must appear as sole or first author, accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae and list of publications. A prize will be awarded to the youngest as an incentive for her scientific and professional growth and four special mentions will also be awarded.
The award ceremony will take place in Bologna in October as part of the second edition of the International Conference 'From Seed to Pasta IV', the most important international congress on cereals and derived food products (Bologna, 26-28 October 2022).
